Using stain or glaze to produce an antique effect is done on painted cabinets. I recently painted some kitchen cabinets with chalk paint. Gently wipe the glaze in a straight up-and-down or side-to-side motion until the desired effect is achieved. your cabinets look fantastic. im actually in the process of doing mine right now. why did you apply the glaze after a coat of lacquer. just curious i've never used glaze. i always use stain. thinking about using glaze on the cabinets.
